Ben Trigg

Ben Trigg is an internationally acclaimed cellist, string arranger and musical director whose work spans over 100 albums, films and television soundtracks — including the score for the Oscar-winning film Atonement. He has worked with Elton John, The Killers and Dexys, and served as musical director for Richard Ashcroft across multiple tours and recordings.

His string arrangements are one of the most distinctive and consistent threads running through the Monks Road Social catalogue — bringing depth, warmth and cinematic sweep to the collective’s recordings from the very first album. He appears on Down The Willows, Humanism and Out of Bounds, contributing all string arrangements on the latter alongside a cast that includes Paul Weller, Mick Talbot and the full Monks Road house band.
